The Ministry of Health and Population revealed the mechanism for obtaining a blood bag for a patient in need of a blood transfusion, which included going to the drainage department in any branch of the national blood transfusion services, in addition to submitting a blood sample from the patient with the quadrilateral name on it, along with submitting a stamped application from the hospital in which the patient is being treated. .
The conditions for donating blood are:
The donor fills out a form stating whether he can donate or not.
The donor’s age must range between 18 to 60 years.
– The donor must be free of any chronic disease.
– The donor should not take any medications that would prevent him from donating blood to others.
– The donor’s weight should not be less than 50 kg.
The hemoglobin percentage should be between 12 and 18 grams for females, and 13 to 18 grams for males.
– The pulse should be between 60 – 100 per minute.
– The blood pressure range should be from 90/60 to 180/100 mm Hg.
